Who Is The Problem?

Most business processes are broken.  Think of the last time you bought something, could the supplier have handled it better?  If the processes are that obviously flawed making them better should be fairly simple.

Still, most process improvement projects fail.

There is an equation that explains this:

Success = Quality x Acceptance

The probability of Success = the Quality of the solution multiplied by the Acceptance of the solution

Process improvement doesn’t fail because of the solution, it is easy to be better, the issue is the acceptance of the solution.

I would go further; the solution is secondary, not accepting that there is a problem in the first place, that is the real issue.

So, do you have any problems?  Or is it just everybody else?
