The Alternative to Shouting at Your Staff

How do you get people to comply? 

How do you make sure that they follow the right procedures, stack the shelves in the right order or answer the phone in the right way?

Check and Shout.  Check they did what you wanted and shout at them if they didn’t.

Alternatively you could look at why they didn’t comply.  People are not non compliant out of bloody mindedness, we all manage to drive on the left.  Maybe they don’t comply because it is hard work, or they see it as a stupid requirement, or they have a better idea.

Perhaps it is worth looking and learning instead of checking and shouting.
