Keep Your Mouth Shut

3 April, 2010 by James Lawther Leave a Comment

My drain is blocked, I have been ignoring it.  I really don’t fancy unblocking it, but as it is getting warm it is starting to smell.  It needs to be fixed.

I bought a set of rods and a plunger home, as I was getting out of my car my neighbour gave me some advice:

1.  Wear some long gloves
2.  Keep your mouth shut

Or to put it another way:

1.  Use the right tools
2.  Expect the worst (I hope that is what he meant)

Good advice.

PS if you watch the video, look out for the pedestrian

James Lawther

James Lawther is a middle-aged, middle manager.

To reach this highly elevated position he has worked in numerous industries, from supermarket retailing to tax collecting.  He has had several operational roles, including running the night shift in a frozen pea packing factory and carrying out operational research for a credit card company.

As you can see from his C.V. he has either a wealth of experience or is incapable of holding down a job.  If the latter is true this post isn’t worth a minute of your attention.

Unfortunately, the only way to find out is to read it and decide for yourself.
