Seven Ways to Make a Difference

And some links to help:

  1. Define your purpose.  What are you here to do?
  2. Measure your performance.  Are you doing it well?
  3. Admit your failings.  Self delusion never helped anybody.
  4. Find the big lever.  Work out what really matters.
  5. Plan the work.  Maybe even just a to-do list.
  6. Work the plan.  Go on, I dare you.
  7. Rinse and repeat.  But don’t mess with step 1 too often, that is truly unhelpful.

It’s not a very long list.

  1. It’s not a long list… but it’s a good list. Thanks for sharing that!

    Annette :-)

  2. Hello James

Great list and one huge issue. When was the last time anyone with any status in your organisation admitted his/her failings?

    All the best

  3. Couldn’t agree more with the points. As an individuals who’s job it is to heard cats, the rinse and repeat rings loudest.
